Works in collaboration with other local, national, and international volunteer organizations to encourage the recognition and proper utilization of volunteer skills and services, and enhance the role and importance of all volunteers
Gives members access to volunteer recognition materials, discounts on workshops and conferences (scholarships available), and information about legislation related to volunteerism
Provides training through regular meetings, workshops, and seminars
Offers workshops to address the professional management of volunteer programs, which in some cases will be endorsed by the NCAVA so that attendees earn NCAVA certification credit.
Meetings are scheduled from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every fourth Thursday of the month. Meetings are done through Zoom at the current time.
Meetings are free for members. Guests joining for the first or second time are free. After the 3rd and 4th-time cost is $5.00. After the fourth meeting, we ask you to become a member.
Non-members are welcome to visit and see what PRAVA is all about. Furthermore, others are welcome to attend and pay for individual training outside of membership (costs vary depending on the training).
